Hastings Prince Edward Public Health is reporting 12 new cases of COVID-19 and eight more recoveries, putting the active case total in the area at 87.
Six of the new cases were found in Quinte West, five in Belleville and one in Prince Edward County, with five cases linked to close contact, three to local spread, two to ongoing outbreaks and two transmission causes are pending.
The HPE Public Health Dashboard shows two of the cases were found in local health care workers, with six cases found in the 19-to-29 age group.
Twenty-one are still in hospital, with eight in the ICU and four on ventilators.
In Northumberland County, the HKPR Health Unit is reporting eight new cases and five recoveries, for an active total of 49.
