It’s looking good for farmers in the Quinte region this year.
The Grain Farmers of Ontario, District 13, Director Lloyd Crowe, says there’s been a good start for planting … and growing.
Crowe tells Quinte News there was a good start in May.
He says, “Lots of farmers still have two acres, here and there, to be planted. Corn, soybeans, wheat – there are over 5 million acres in Ontario altogether.”

And Crowe says, “the winter wheat is growing well and looking really good.”
