Belleville police responded to 73 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on May 18, 2022 to 5 a.m. on May 19, 2022.
Breach of Probation
On May 19, 2022 at 12:30 a.m., a Belleville police officer stopped a vehicle in the east end of the city for a traffic violation. A female passenger was identified as being on a current probation order to obey an overnight curfew. As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and charged with breaching her probation. She was held for a show cause hearing on May 19, 2022.
Warrants
On May 18, 2022 at 1:30 p.m., a male wanted on an outstanding warrant was located and arrested by another police service and brought to Belleville. The Orleans resident was arrested on two outstanding warrants from 2017 for theft under $5000 and failing to attend court. A fifty-four-year-old man was held in custody for a show cause hearing on May 19, 2022.
On May 18, 2022 at 4 p.m., Belleville police were dispatched to the east end regarding a disturbance. Officers on the scene located a female who was known to have outstanding warrants for uttering threats-domestic, failing to attend court, failing to attend prints, causing a disturbance and resisting a peace officer. As a result, 34-year-old Belleville resident Lisa Seaboyer was arrested for the warrant and later released with a June 30, 2022 court date.
