The City of Quinte West will welcome more than 150 cyclists to Centennial Park later this month for a closed-circuit cycling event.
The cycling race day, called the Quinte Criterium, will take place at Centennial Park on May 29.
Competitors will participate in a 1.7 kilometre closed-circuit cycling event as part of a provincial cycling race series.
The first race begins at 9 a.m. and the final heat will depart at approximately 2:30 p.m.
To accommodate the race, road closures for vehicular traffic will be in effect – Couch Crescent and Bay Street between South Street and Findall Street.
During the closure, driveways within the closure area will be inaccessible and detour routes will be in effect.
Centennial Park will remain accessible to pedestrians during the closure.
The event is not open for public participation, but spectators are welcome.
