Candidates will respond to questions on an equitable COVID-19 recovery, affordable housing, addiction and mental health, and the rising cost of living. They will be invited to describe how their parties will address these challenges.
“The rising cost of living is a struggle for young people. Whether it be the cost of gas, basic food items, dental and
medicine costs, not to mention the lack of affordable housing.” Said Amanda Barriage, Youth Ambassador with Youth2Youth HPE. “That’s why it’s important for youth to ask tough questions of our local political candidates, to understand their plans to help youth – including myself – to be able to look to the future with optimism and a sense of hope.”
Confirmed Participating Bay of Quinte Riding Candidates:
- Todd Smith, Conservative Party
- Emilie Leneveu, Liberal Party
