Another name has come forward to run for Belleville city council in October.
Lisa Anne Chatten, currently serving on the Hastings Prince Edward District School Board, will run
in Ward 1, urban Belleville.
So far the only other candidates declared are Mitch Panciuk, running for a second term as mayor, and Councillor Paul Carr, seeking another term in Thurlow ward.
Meanwhile in Quinte West the candidates list remains blank at this time.
PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY
Several people have filed papers to run for council in Prince Edward County.
So far incumbent Mayor Steve Ferguson will have one challenger, former councillor Dianne O’Brien.
Running in Picton is Phil St-Jean, an incumbent.
And Bloomfield/Hallowell incumbents Brad Nieman and Phil Prinzen will run again.
In Sophiasburgh ward current councillor Bill Roberts will be in the race.
In North Marysburgh ward former councillor David Harrison will be on the ballot, while in South Marysburgh incumbent John Hirsch will seek a second term.
There are no candidates so far in other wards.
