Belleville police responded to 80 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on May 11, 2022 to 5 a.m. on May 12, 2022.
Disturbance
On May 11, 2022 at 6:19 p.m., police were called to Victoria Park regarding a disturbance. Information was initially received that a male was attacking people in the park. Officers arrived on the scene and were directed to the male who was causing problems. After a brief conversation with the male, it was apparent that he was intoxicated and as a result was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. The 44-year-old male, of no fixed address, was transported to Belleville Police Service and lodged in cells until he was sober.
