There were eight new cases of COVID-19 in Hastings and Prince Edward counties Saturday.
With recoveries included, the number of active cases dropped by three from Friday to a total of 84.
One new outbreak was declared Saturday at a childcare facility in Quinte West. There was just one person involved in that outbreak.
Of the eight new cases, four were located in Belleville, two in Quinte West and one each in Centre Hastings and Prince Edward counties.
Twenty people remain in hospital for treatment, with nine in the Intensive Care Unit, one more than on Friday.
Twelve new Variants of Concern were discovered Saturday.
Meanwhile in Northumberland County just two new COVID-19 cases were reported Saturday, leaving 38 active.
