Peterborough County OPP are investigating a farming incident in Asphodel-Norwood Township that left one person dead Friday.
OPP and emergency crews were called to the accident at approximately 4 p.m. Friday where police say a person was hit by a falling tree while driving a tractor.
The person was taken to local hospital with life-threatening injuries where, according to Today’s Northumberland, the 84-year-old victim was pronounced dead.
Asphodel 7th Line was closed between Centre Line and County Road 2 while collision reconstruction officers investigated the cause.
