Four people have been arrested in connection to a suspicious death in Quinte West late last month.
Emergency responders were called to a home on Ferry Street on April 24, where 32-year-old Audri Vickers was pronounced dead at the scene.
Following an investigation by the OPP Community Street Crime Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and Belleville Police, a search warrant was executed on Sidney Street in Belleville, where officers seized crystal meth, cocaine, fentanyl and other drugs, along with a rifle, shotgun, ammunition and other offence-related items.
Police arrested four people from Belleville and laid the following charges:
- 37-year-old Richard Gourlie is charged with:
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order – two counts;
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Mischief under $5000
- Traffic in Schedule 1 substance – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and with
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
- 27-year-old Jessica Rose
- Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to a Prohibition Order – two counts;
- Unauthorized possession of a weapon
- Fail to comply with a Probation Order two counts; and with
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts.
- 28-year-old Brandon Wase
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Fail to comply with a Probation Order – two counts; and with
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts.
- 33-year-old Douglas McGregor
- Possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking – three counts.
All four were released with court dates on August 6 and police say their investigation is continuing.
