Belleville City Council approved a recommendation for all non-profit in-kind applications already approved for both intakes of 2026 tourism grant funding, receive an additional 15% of their awarded funding.
Council also approved recommendations from the City of Belleville’s Grant Committee for applications for the 2026 second intake Tourism Grant.
The City of Belleville received two intakes for the 2026 Tourism Grant. The first intake closed January 31, 2026, the second April 30, 2026.
In a report, city staff say the reason for the 15% increase is to help mitigate the impact of rising municipal service costs.
They say the 15% represents the estimated average increase from 2025 to 2026 rates and fees including estimated labour
increases.
