A 25-year-old inmate at Millhaven Institution, east of Napanee, has been charged with murder.
OPP, Kingston Police and the Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad began their investigation after an incident late last week, which resulted in the death of 49-year-old Michael Kozovski.
Investigators say Kozovski, who had been serving a sentence for sexual assault and uttering death threats, was killed on Friday April 13 and now 25-year-old Tyler Hunter has been charged with first degree murder.
He had a video court date on Sunday and remains in custody.
