Quinte West firefighters had to deal with a few of incidents this morning.
Crews responded to the eastbound Highway 401 just after 9:00 a.m. where a single vehicle had rolled.
The man driving was shaken up but didn’t need to be taken to hospital.
Then, just after 10:00, firefighters worked quickly to contain a blaze at Quinte Recycling, where a front-end loader had caught fire.
Fire Chief John Whelan says the vehicle was fully involved when crews arrived and was likely caused by some sort of mechanical issue, but that hasn’t been confirmed.
Nobody was injured in that incident either.
However, during the lunch hour, three vehicles were involved in a crash on the westbound 401 near Aikins Road.
Chief Whelan says two vans and a pick up truck were involved and three people were taken to Trenton Memorial Hospital.
