A Picton man has been arrested after fleeing the scene of a hit and run in Belleville Saturday night.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m., Belleville Police attended the intersection of Donald Street and North Front Street.
They investigated and discovered that a vehicle driving on North Front Street had collided with another vehicle that failed to stop at the stop sign on Donald Street, then fled eastbound.
Shortly afterwards, police located a vehicle matching the description with fresh damage on Station Street.
A 27-year-old man faces charges of failing to stop at a stop sign and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
He was also issued a three-day license suspension.
His vehicle was towed and he was given a Provincial Offences court date to answer to the traffic charges.
No injuries were reported.
