The federal New Horizons for Seniors Program continues to provide support in the local community.
On Thursday, Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis handed the Trenton Curling Club $23,900 to help them with purchasing new furnishings and audiovisual equipment, which will be used to provide curling workshops.
The workshops will support seniors’ engagement in sport and team building in the Quinte community.
MP Ellis adds the government is “dedicated to expanding opportunities for Canadian seniors to get involved in
community activities that meet their needs, reflect their interests, and tap their collective resources and experiences.”
