Running for a cause in the Quinte region

People all across the Quinte region will be running, jogging or walking for a good cause this Sunday.

The 37th annual Terry Fox run will be held, with money raised going to cancer research.

BELLEVILLE

Registration: 8:30 am
Open Start: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Location: Lion’s Pavilion at West Zwick’s Park, 379 N Service Rd

What will be provided: Complimentary snacks for breakfast, coffee and bottled water.
Additional activities include: Crafts for kids and a radio D.J.

Bicycle, Stroller, Rollerblade, and Wheelchair accessible.

Dog friendly but dogs must be on leash.
Route distance: 1 loop will equal 3.11 km, 1 km route

TRENTON

8 a.m.: registration
9:15 a.m.: One start time
NEW Location: Trenton Recplex – CFB Trenton

TWEED

Registration Opens; 8:00 a.m.
Start: 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Location: Tweed Park on Stoco Lake Eastern Ontario Trail

MARMORA

Registration Opens: 9:30 a.m.
Open Start: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Marmora Memorial Park

Main intersection: Highway 7 and Highway 14
Free parking is available

Refreshments will be provided

BANCROFT

Registration Opens: 8:00 a.m.

Open Start: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Location: Bancroft Millennium Park

Pledge sheets are available at the Bancroft District Chamber of Commerce, Bancroft Fitness Centre, Trips and Trails and Vance Motors.

The 2018 Bancroft Terry Fox Run has a new green twist to the Cancer Research fundraiser.

All participants who bring their own reusable water container to the run will be given a 2018 Terry Fox “t” shirt (value $20).
The “t” shirts are being purchased and donated by a local long time Terry Foxer. There will be water available at Millennium Park to fill up your container compliments of Bancroft’s The Clear Water Shop.

Limited bottled water will still be available

NAPANEE

Registration: 9am
Start: 9:30am – noon
Location: Conservation Park – 10 Pearl St, Napanee

Route is accessible to bikes, blades, wheelchairs. Dogs are welcome.

Route distance: 5 km, 10 km.
