Another day, another cheque presentation benefiting the Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation’s Food For Learning’s Feed the Meter Campaign.

On Wednesday, mayor of Quinte West Jim Harrison and others gathered to donate $8,468 collected from parking meters over the Christmas period.

The money will be used to purchase breakfasts and snacks at schools, so students in Quinte West do not go hungry.

Tuesday, the City of Belleville gave the Foundation $13,000.

The Feed The Meter Campaign in downtown Picton continues until the end of this month.
