It was great local entertainment for a good cause Friday night at Belleville’s Empire Theatre.
Their instructor was Alicia Sewell of Astounding Heights Dance Academy.
“This event represents everything that makes our community so special. Generosity, creativity, connection and people coming together to support one another.”
Harrison says the event has a long history and has evolved over the years.
“Since its inception in 2008, Dancing with the Stars Quinte has featured 286 dancers and more than 30 dedicated instructors who together have dedicated countless hours to make this event possible.”
Final figures aren’t available yet but thousands of dollars was raised for VIQ, which for 60 years has recruited and referred volunteers of all ages to community organizations needing them in the Quinte region.
