A transport truck making its way along Second Dug Hill Road in Quinte West Wednesday afternoon hit a bridge tearing its roof off.

The accident occurred just after 2 p.m.

A garbage collector in the vicinity, Joe Cassibault, saw the accident and describes it for us.

Cassibault says he tried to flag down the driver but had no luck.

He sends Quinte News his video of the event:

It’s not known at this time whether or not the bridge was damaged.

No further details are yet available.
