A Belleville native will receive a prestigious policing award for her quick work in solving the murder of a gay Toronto senior. Detective Sergeant Pauline Gray of the Metro Toronto Police is credited for her work in the case of Harley Walker. The 72-year old was stabbed to death and buried in a shallow grave in Kawartha Lakes in 2006 by 46-year old David Reid of Missassauga. He’s serving a life sentence after pleading guilty in 2007. Detective Gray will receive the honor from the Ontario Homicide Investigators Association tomorrow in Niagara Falls.
