Active cases and hospitalizations in Hastings Prince Edward due to COVID-19 have increased over the last week.
In Tuesday’s weekly update, Public Health reports 51 active high-risk cases, up from 44 last week.
This time last week there were no patients being treated in hospital however that number has risen to three currently.
No one is in the ICU.
The health unit’s dashboard shows two active outbreaks in high-risk settings, down one from last Tuesday.
The number of deaths remains unchanged at 63.
While 84% of the eligible population aged five and up is considered fully vaccinated with two doses, 53% have received a third dose booster and 42% of residents aged 60 and over a fourth dose.
