Belleville police were at the scene of a large alcohol-fuelled disturbance in the city’s west end Saturday night.
Officers responded to a west end housing complex courtyard for a disturbance involving between 12 and 16 people at around 8 p.m.
Police say there were minor injuries and no charges laid as police dispersed it.
However, a “highly intoxicated” woman continued to exacerbate the situation despite multiple warnings.
As a result police arrested and charged the 30-year-old woman with being intoxicated in a common area and held her until she was sober.
Police also determined that one man who was at the scene of the disturbance was wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of fraud, theft of a credit card and use of a stolen credit card and arrested 50-year-old Belleville man Brian Lawes.
