Hospice Quinte is overwhelmed with gratitude following the incredible success of Hike for Hospice 2026, held on Saturday, May 23 at Centennial Park in Trenton.
What began as a morning of remembrance and community came together as their most successful Hike to date, raising nearly $60,000 in support of compassionate hospice care in our region.
With over 19 teams participating and more than 140 hikers taking part, along with countless community members joining throughout the morning- including walk-ins welcomed on event day, this year’s Hike was a beautiful reflection of the care, generosity, and connection that exists throughout the Quinte region.
Families, friends, coworkers, and supporters gathered to walk in honour of loved ones, celebrate memories, and support individuals and families facing end-of-life journeys.
From remembrance doves placed on the arbour to memory rocks carried along the trail, every moment served as a reminder that no one walks alone.
“We are truly humbled by the support shown by our community,” says Petra Lepage, Executive Director of Hospice Quinte. “Every donation, every team, every sponsor, and every person who walked beside us helped create something incredibly meaningful. The compassion we witnessed throughout the day was deeply moving.”
Hospice Quinte extends heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, donors, participants, volunteers, and community partners who made this event possible.
Your support ensures Hospice Quinte can continue providing compassionate, no-cost care and grief support to individuals and families throughout our region.
As Hospice Quinte approaches the incredible milestone of $60,000 raised, donations are still being accepted and community support continues to make a meaningful impact.
