Quinte West is hoping to boost local business with a Shop Local BINGO campaign.
It’s a contest to encourage residents to “Love their Local.”
The city announcement indicates it gives participants the opportunity to win more than $1,000 in prizes by exploring businesses and activities within Quinte West.
In a statement, Mayor Jim Harrison says, “We are so lucky to live in an area full of amazing businesses, non-profits and beautiful outdoor spaces. The last six months have been difficult for everyone, but we want to remind people of all the wonderful things we still have to offer in Quinte West. This is an opportunity to explore new local activities and visit businesses who need our support during this difficult time.”
You can get a copy of the “Love Your Local” BINGO card at City Hall or by downloading it from quintewest.ca/love your local
The contest runs until October 30.
The BINGO card consists of 24 squares with a range of activities supporting local businesses, non-profit organizations and encouraging exploration of Quinte West’s natural attractions. At the end of the campaign, participants who submit their BINGO card with at least one line completed will be entered to win a Grand Prize of $500 worth of gift certificates to Quinte West businesses.
There will be chances to win as the city features local businesses, organizations and activities on their social media channels.
