A sentence against Brian Robert Reid in the case of sexual offences against two minors is set to be handed down on May 4.
The decision was made by Justice Patrick Hurley following a hearing on Friday, which included submissions from the crown and the defence.
Crown lawyer Mike Lunski is seeking a sentence of 10 to 12 years and a SOIRA (Sex Offender Information Registration Act) order for life as well as a DNA and weapons order.
Meanwhile, defence lawyer James Lisowski is seeking a sentence of seven to nine years and a SOIRA order of 20 years.
Both recommended that Reid receive credit for time served, which would mean that ten-and-a-half months could be taken off the sentence.
Before submissions were made, victim impact statements were read in the court.
They described the trauma suffered, calling for Reid to be accountable.
A relative also read a statement, saying that trust has been broken and that Reid has never taken responsibility or shown remorse.
Reid has been found guilty on 10 charges, including three counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual interference, two counts of inviting sexual touching, sexual exploitation and making child pornography.
