Belleville police responded to 292 calls for service from 5 a.m. on April 17, 2026 to 5 a.m. on April 20, 2026.
Assault
On April 19, 2026 at approximately 6 p.m., Belleville police responded to a residence in the city’s east end regarding a roommate dispute.
It was reported that one of the roommates was causing issues within the residence and had struck the other roommate with a frying pan.
As a result of investigation, David Richens, a 46-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with:
· Assault
· Fail to comply with a probation order
He was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
Weapons Incident
On April 18, 2026 at 1:36 p.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Bell Boulevard following a report that a male had displayed a concealed weapon to employees at a business.
Officers located the male and upon further investigation, found him to be in possession of bear spray and knives.
As a result of investigation, a 41-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
· Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose x2
· Fail to comply with probation order x4
He was held for a bail hearing.
Mischief
On April 17, 2026 at 9:26 p.m., Belleville police investigated a report of a disturbance. Initial information indicated that a group of individuals had been causing a disturbance and acting aggressively toward a male and a female before leaving the area in a vehicle. Further investigation determined that the male involved had kicked the vehicle, causing damage. As a result of investigation, Lucas Fox, a 22-year-old Belleville man, was arrested and charged with:
· Mischief under $5000
· Fail to comply with a probation order
He was released on an undertaking with a scheduled court date in July.
