While it’s not expected to be overly hot this weekend, most area beaches are safe for swimming, according to Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health.
Just one beach has been posted as unsafe this weekend, that’s the Tweed Park Beach on Stoco lake, which tested positive with high levels of bacteria.
All other beaches within the Hastings and Prince Edward coverage area will be open, while the Centennial Park Beach in Northport on the Bay of Quinte, wasn’t sampled again due to flooding issues.
