The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation will benefit from a significant donation to its student nutrition program.
DuPont Pioneer has announced a $10,000 grant as part of its Full Belly, Full Mind initiative which will be spread throughout various programs stretching from Belleville to Kingston.
Learning Foundation Executive Director Maribeth deSnoo says the nutrition programs are important, because research shows students who receive regular, healthy meals and snacks are more alert, healthier and study better at school.
