The Trent Canal in Campbellford is always a beautiful spot but it’s even more so these days.
A group of volunteers has wrapped 158 trees with knitted poppies as a salute to Canada’s
military veterans ahead of Remembrance Day on November 11.
The 158 garland-wrapped trees represent the 158 Canadian Forces members who lost their lives
in Afghanistan.
The Poppies Around the Canal project was led by Danielle Barnes.
