The Belleville Police Service is joining police services and community partners across Ontario to recognize Crime Prevention Week, taking place November 1–7, 2026. This year’s theme, “Protecting Ontario Together,” highlights how all Ontarians can play an important role in preventing crime and building safer communities.
Crime prevention requires collaboration among police, government, community organizations, businesses, and residents. Through education, awareness, reporting, and community engagement, everyone can contribute to reducing victimization and strengthening community safety.
Throughout Crime Prevention Week, the Belleville Police Service will highlight key priorities identified by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and its Community Safety and Crime Prevention Committee.
Residents will also have an opportunity to connect with members of the Belleville Police Service during:
· Coffee with a Cop – Join us at Starbucks, 295 North Front St., on November 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a casual conversation about community safety and crime prevention.
Crime Prevention Week is an opportunity to strengthen the partnerships that help keep our community safe. We encourage residents to learn more about crime prevention and work together to help prevent crime.
Crime Prevention Week is supported by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) and the Government of Ontario.
