Centennial Manor is going to be getting a new surface for their parking lot.
During Wednesday’s meeting of the Long Term Care Committee, the committee voted to approve a tender for repaving the parking lot.
The total cost of re-paving the lot is $579,000, of which $262,385 will be paid by the long term care department, and the remainder paid by the general government budget. The split is due to the parking lot’s use being split between both Hastings Manor and the Professional Services Building, with both contributing to the project.
The Hastings Manor portion was approved during this meeting, with the Professional Services Building portion set to be approved during an upcoming meeting of the Finance, Property, and Personnel Committee. Once both halves are approved by committee, they will go before council for final approval.
If approved, work is expected to begin in August, and be complete before the end of October.
