A school supply drive for United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s Backpacks for Success program is currently underway.
Lange & Fetter Motors in Trenton is hosting the drive until Friday, August 14.
Backpacks for Success remains a vital support for many across Hastings and Prince Edward Counties.
This year, more than 1,100 students will receive a brand-new backpack filled with essential school supplies at a fraction of the retail cost. The success of this program is made possible through the incredible generosity of our community.
“We’re so grateful for the incredible support our community shows year after year,” says Jennifer Smith, Director of Fundraising & Community Engagement at United Way Hastings & Prince Edward. “This program wouldn’t be possible without the businesses, sponsors, donors and volunteers who come together to make it happen. Seeing so many people rally to help our local students is inspiring each year, and we can’t thank everyone enough for being an important part of it!”
Community members are encouraged to donate new school supplies, including pencils, sharpeners, pens, scissors, notebooks, lined paper, binders, highlighters, erasers, glue sticks, pencil crayons, and more.
