A walk to promote unity, togetherness, and peace will be taking place this week in Belleville.
Over the weekend we learned of a Prayer Walk for Peace taking place on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 o’clock.
City Councillor Garnet Thompson says the walk will begin at St Thomas Anglican Church.
He says it is being organized by the Belleville Police Service in an effort to highlight and combat recent acts of hatred and violence in the community.
Constable Jeffrey Smith, who was shot in the attack at Sons of Jacob Synagogue last month, is expected to be in attendance.
