A 21-year-old woman was charged after a report of a dangerous weapon.
Belleville police responded to a report of a female in possession of a knife outside a business on College Street East at around 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
When officers arrived, they located the female and confirmed that she was in possession of a knife.
The female was arrested without incident.
As a result of the investigation, 21-year-old Jada Sweet, of no fixed address, was charged with Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
Sweet was later released on an Undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in November.
