A Belleville man is facing charges after an incident in a local park.
On Tuesday, just after 6:30 p.m., Belleville police officers responded to a park in the city’s east end after reports of an assault.
Police were informed that a verbal argument took place between a man and a group of youths. The confrontation escalated when the man grabbed one of the youths, threw him to the ground, and kicked him.
After an investigation, officers arrested 20-year-old Francesco Galizia, and charged him with assault.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in October.
