A Belleville man is facing charges after an incident in a local park.
On Tuesday, just after 6:30pm, Belleville police officers responded to a park in the city’s east end after reports of an assault.
Police were informed that a verbal argument took place between a man and a group of youths. The confrontation escalated when the man grabbed one of the youth, threw him to the ground, and kicked him.
After an investigation, officers arrested 20 year old Francesco Galizia, and charged him with assault.
He was released on an undertaking with a court date in October.
