Impaired Arrest
A 34-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident early Saturday morning.
At approximately 4:05 a.m. on October 31, 2026, officers were called to the area of Hancox Court and Glenforest Boulevard about a possible impaired driver after a parked vehicle was struck. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle which was parked halfway on the road and halfway on the lawn. While speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
- Obstruct plate
- Drive with seat belt assembly modified
- Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 8, 2026.
Break and Enter Arrest
A 38-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident early Sunday morning.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. on November 1, 2026, an officer on general patrol in the Townsend Street and Rubidge Street area spotted a man attempting to enter a second-storey window on a building under construction. The officer stopped to investigate and learned that the man had no ties to the building and took him into custody. During a search after arrest officers seized a small amount of fentanyl.
As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Break, enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (other than heroin)
The accused was held in custody and appeared in Weekend and Statutory Holiday court on November 1, 2026.
Assault Arrest
A 46-year-old Peterborough woman is facing charges in connection with two separate assaults in the past month.
On October 29, 2026, officers were called to a residence about a disturbance. The suspect had returned to pick up some property when the 58-year-old female victim was punched in the face and bitten several times by the suspect.
On November 1, 2026, officers located the suspect and took her into custody.
During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect was also wanted in connection with an incident that had happened on October 13, 2026, when the suspect was asked to leave a residence. The suspect grabbed the 21-year-old victim’s hair, slapped her glasses off and pushed her into a wall before fleeing.
As a result, a 46-year-old Peterborough woman was arrested and charged with:
- Assault causing bodily harm x2
- Fail to comply with probation order x2
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 2, 2026.
Impaired Arrest
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired charges after an incident Sunday evening.
At approximately 6:00 p.m. on November 1, 2026, Peterborough Police Service received a call about a possible impaired driver after a vehicle was spotted going onto the shoulder and being unable to stay in the lane. Officers attended the area but were unable to locate the vehicle. At approximately 7:40 p.m., the service received a second call about a driver passed out in a vehicle that was still on, in a parking lot in the George Street and Rink Street area. Upon arrival, officers determined it was the same vehicle in the previous call for service. When they woke up the driver they noticed signs of impairment.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused was issued an automatic 90-day licence suspension and seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court December 15, 2026.
Impaired/Drug Arrest
A 35-year-old Peterborough man is facing impaired and drug trafficking charges after an incident early Monday morning.
At approximately 12:14 a.m. on November 2, 2026, officers were called to a convenience store in the McDonnel Street and Park Street North area after a car drove over a curb and onto the walkway in front of the store. Upon arrival, officers noticed signs of impairment with the driver and took him into custody. During a search after arrest, officers seized:
- 5.2 grams of fentanyl
- 18.6 grams of cocaine
- Cash
- Drug paraphernalia
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- other drugs
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
The accused is being held in custody and will appear in court today, November 2, 2026.
