A 13-year-old boy is in hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Ajax.
On Thursday at approximately 6:29 p.m., officers from Durham Regional Police’s West Division were called to Harwood Avenue North and Rossland Road West for a collision involving a 13-year-old boy riding a scooter who was hit by a vehicle.
The boy was riding a scooter west across the intersection when he was struck by the southbound vehicle. He was transported to a local area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with police.
Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to assist with this investigation. Police are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
