A Belleville man is facing charges after an incident on Thursday afternoon.
Belleville police responded to the city’s east end just before 6 p.m. after getting calls about a person with a firearm.
Upon arrival, officers began an investigation and reviewed video footage from earlier in the day, observing a male suspect holding a firearm.
As a result of the investigation, a 32-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address was found, arrested, and charged with two counts of posession of a firearm contrary to a prohibition order, and two counts of failure to comply with a probation order.
He was held for a bail hearing.
