An Apsley man has been charged in a historical sexual assault case in Whitby.
Durham Regional Police say the victim was employed by the suspect at a business in the area of Taunton Road and Brock Street.
It’s alleged that during the course of employment, the suspect made unprofessional remarks and touched the victim inappropriately.
Investigators are concerned about more potential victims and are urging anyone who may have been victimized to come forward to police.
Fifty-three-year-old Sean Godfrey of Apsley is charged with three counts of sexual assault.
He was released on an undertaking.
Police say anyone who feels they have been victimized, or has information about this or similar incidents to contact D/Cst. Robinson of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1854.
