Belleville police responded to 339 calls for service from 5 a.m. on March 28, 2024 to 5 a.m. on April 02, 2024.
Domestic Assault leads to arrest
On March 29, 2024 at 2:51 p.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Albert Street and Dundas Street East for a report of a domestic dispute. Police arrived and began an investigation which revealed that a 38-year-old Belleville man had assaulted a 32-year-old female. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an undertaking with a court date in May. The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.
Breach of Release Order & Mischief
On March 29, 2024 at 7:07 a.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Bridge Street West and Dunnett Blvd for a report of a male acting out and causing mischief to a vehicle. Police attended the area and learned that the suspect caused mischief to a vehicle and was breaching his conditions from a release order. Police searched the area and located the male who was a 54-year-old Belleville resident. As a result, he was arrested and charged with mischief and breaching his release order. He was held for a bail hearing.

On March 30, 2024 at 2:08 a.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Britton Place and Tracey Park Drive for a report of a domestic dispute. Upon their arrival, police spoke to the involved parties and learned that a 23-year-old Belleville man had assaulted a 28-year-old female. There were no reported physical injuries. As a result, the male was arrested and charged with assault. He was released on an uUndertaking with a court date in May. The name of the accused is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim.

Slashed Tires
Belleville Police began taking multiple reports on the 31st of March and 1st of April regarding random vehicle tires being slashed in parking lots in the areas of Bell Boulevard, North Park Street and Cannifton Road which are believed to have occurred sometime overnight on those dates. The incidents are believed to be related and there are currently no suspects. Police are continuing to investigate the incidents.
