The Belleville Senators beat the Syracuse Crunch 4-2 on Saturday night.
Jacob Larsson, Angus Crookshank, Max Guenette, and Matt Highmore scored for the Sens.
The Sens opened scoring in just a minute and a half of play, before the Crunch tied the score with their first goal of the night. The Sens came back to grab a second first-period goal with just 30 seconds left on the clock to take a slim lead into the second.
Both the Senators and the Crunch picked up a goal in the second, leaving Belleville to hold on to their lead going into the third. After keeping the Crunch at bay for most of the period, the Senators stole an empty-net goal to extend their lead and win the game.
Belleville Sens Head Coach Dave Bell is happy with the wins they got on the road trip.
“The guys are tired, but satisfied. That was a gutsy win, a gutsy road trip, a gutsy 11 days,” said Coach Bell “To go 5-2 on that stretch, with a lot of travel and tough opponents is a real good result.”
The Sens are back in action on Wednesday, hosting the Utica Comets at CAA Arena.
