Construction is almost complete on the new Easthill Elementary School in Belleville, and plans are in place to open the school for the start of the next school year in September.
The new school will consolidate students from Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria schools.
Construction is expected to finish in early 2024, allowing school board staff to begin the process of moving in all the various things the staff and students will need, such as smart boards and phone/internet systems.
The original planned opening date in fall of 2023 was missed, due to construction delays.
