A Belleville man driving a motorcycle had to be taken to Kingston General Hospital early Thursday evening after a collision with a pickup truck on Bell Boulevard.
City police say the motorcycle was heading west when the truck turned into its path.
The 58-year-old motorcycle driver suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the truck, a 36-year-old Belleville man, was charged with making an unsafe turn.
The collision occurred at 6:15.
In another incident, staff at Belleville General Hospital’s Emergency Department had some trouble with a drunk man late Thursday morning.
Belleville police report responding to the hospital around 11:30 after staff reported having issues with a man trying to visit a person in hospital who was not allowed to have visitors.
A 65-year-old man was held in a police cell until sober for his own safety and charged with being intoxicated in a public place.
