A Quinte West man is serving 2 years in jail following an assault involving a firearm in Trenton in May of last year.
Austin Lloyd, 29 years of age at the time of his arrest , was also given a lifetime weapons ban recently.
Quinte West OPP began an investigation after Lloyd assaulted people inside of a residence on Trenton Street while brandishing a firearm. Minor injuries were sustained.
He was sentenced on charges including assault causing bodily harm, uttering threats, and possession of a prohibited weapon.
