The Municipality of Tweed has created a task force that will look into creating a Main Street Rehabilitation Action Plan.
The plan is hoped to bring vibrancy to the Tweed downtown core.
Tweed Mayor Don DeGenova tells Quinte News there is currently a community improvement plan which gives loans or grant money to downtown businesses to improve their facades.
DeGenova says the taskforce will help look into how to encourage more business owners to take part in the program.
“That’s one of the things that we will be working on right away. Hopefully we’ll have a much improved and enhanced downtown before our term is up,” DeGenova tells Quinte News.
