One person has been charged after hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise was stolen from a Dundas Street East business Monday morning.
Belleville police say late in the morning, store employees reported a customer placed items worth about $600 into reusable bags and left the store without paying.
Staff provided a detailed description of the male suspect and items stolen and police located him a short distance away.
Investigation revealed the suspect was already on a probation order to not attend the business he was just in.
Facing charges of theft under $5000 and breaching his probation order is 41-year-old Jesse Breen of Belleville.
He appears in court in October.
