Trenval has signed the City of Belleville’s Workplace Inclusion Charter.
The goal of the charter is to encourage local businesses and organizations to make a commitment to inclusion in the workplace through planning, setting achievable goals that move their workplace forward and deploying a variety of tactics to meet those goals.
Trenval currently supports inclusion in the workplace by keeping the 50 – 30 Challenge at the forefront of their recruitment and board selection process, while also providing their clients with resources and best practices for supporting diversity, equity and inclusion in their workplaces.
“Trenval had already committed to the federal 50 – 30 Challenge, so signing on to Belleville’s Workplace Inclusion Charter perfectly aligns with our initiatives,” said Trenval Executive Director Amber Darling. “Although we have a small staff and a 12-member board, our commitment to diversity and inclusion is demonstrated through our respect for our clients from various backgrounds including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability and more.”
When it comes to next steps for promoting inclusion, Trenval will continue to work through their 50 – 30 Challenge goals while also networking and building partnerships that promote inclusivity.
Mayor Neil Ellis joined Amber Darling and Trenval staff to congratulate and thank them for their commitment to inclusion in the workplace.
