Assault and Arrest on Warrants
On June 8, 2023 at 5:15 p.m., Belleville police received a call to a Bridge Street East address regarding a male physically assaulting a female. When police arrived, the male was still in a heated argument with the victim and several witnesses. Following an investigation, a 41-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with assault and uttering threats. The male was also wanted on three separate arrest warrants for failing to appear in court and failing to attend for fingerprints. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service and held for a bail hearing.
