A 30-year-old man with no fixed address was arrested after a neighbourhood was targeted for break, enter, and theft incidents in Belleville Wednesday.
Police arrived at a George Street property where a homeowner reported a man had kicked in the gate of his backyard fence.
The man took off when confronted but police were provided a description and officers located a suspect nearby.
While speaking to the suspect a woman approached police and said her son had left a room only to see the suspect in another room gathering up items to steal.
Then a third neighbour reported seeing the suspect trying to break into another residence.
The unidentified suspect was charged with mischief, two counts of break and enter, and breach of probation.
