Twins win big

When you’re twins you share a lot, sometimes even a lottery win.

Belleville sisters Geraldine Fobert and Joyce Brady are sharing a $300,000 prize after playing INSTANT PLINKO.

The 81-year-old twins, who are both retired from the Hawkins Cheezie Factory, have been playing the lottery together since 2010 and it’s not their first big win.

They won $100,000 in 2011 and $1 million in 2015 and shared those winnings with friends, family, charities, and churches.

They’ll also be sharing this win, including helping their sister-in-law, who has been in the hospital.

INSTANT PLINKO combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated chip drop on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, the chance to drop a chip on a real PLINKO Board at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

Gerry bought the winning ticket at Victoria Convenience on Victoria Avenue in Belleville while she was out running errands and when she realized they won a chip drop, she brought the ticket back to the store.

The sisters decided Gerry would drop the chip while Joyce cheered her on. “My knees were weak at the top of those steps. It was like I was in outer space, like no one else was up there with me,” said Gerry. “Then I heard people clapping – I did pretty good!” said Gerry, referring to their $300,000 win.
